Looking for a family- and pet-friendly escape near the coast? Our fully equipped self-catering home in De Kelders, just outside Gansbaai, is the perfect getaway. The house features two spacious en-suite bedrooms with double beds, plus an extra trundle bed in the lounge that’s ideal for children. It comfortably sleeps 4, with space for up to 6.

You’ll have the entire freestanding property to yourself—no sharing with owners or other guests. Enjoy free Wi-Fi, Netflix, Showmax, and other streaming services, along with both Dolce Gusto and Nespresso coffee machines. A lock-up safe is also provided for peace of mind.

The home is fitted with modern comforts including air conditioning in both bedrooms and the lounge, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and 90cm oven/stove, washing machine, tumble dryer, and even an ice maker. For pets, we’ve provided raised dog beds, bowls, and a large outdoor kennel. Dogs are welcome inside the house and yard (just not on the furniture). There are two braai/BBQ areas—one indoors and one on the porch—both with all the tools you’ll need.

Gansbaai and the Overstrand area are a nature lover’s dream, with hiking trails, cliff walks, whale watching, shark cage diving, birdwatching, MTB and 4x4 routes, and great fishing spots. You’ll also find supermarkets, shops, and many pet-friendly restaurants nearby. At the house, you’ll have beach towels, picnicware, camping chairs, and umbrellas for seaside adventures, as well as books and board games for rainy days. A greenbelt right behind the house makes for perfect dog walks (leashes required). Secure parking is available on the property, including a double carport, with shade nets provided for hot summer days.

De Kelders is only 3 km from the charming fishing village of Gansbaai, home to incredible beaches and some of the best whale watching in Walker Bay during spring. With a safe, enclosed garden for kids and pets, stunning views of Gansbaai mountain, and just a two-hour drive from Cape Town, this home is an ideal spot for a relaxing break from the city.
